Girls Trip
MORNING
Some of the best meals to be had at Disney World can be found inside Epcot. Make your first stop La Crêperie de Paris in the France section of the park for butter and sugar crepes or a version drizzled with chocolate and hazelnut. Plan to share orders so you can eat and drink your way around the world. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie has pain au chocolat and strawberry tarts, Sommerfest in the Germany section features soft pretzels and steins of beer, and Rose & Crown is known for traditional British pub fare.
DAY
After Epcot, visit Disney Springs to shop over 100 stores, including Jo Malone, Anthropologie, and MAC, plus a plethora of Disney-themed shops.
EVENING
In the afternoon, head back to the parks, this time Magic Kingdom to whirl through a few roller coasters before capping off the day with dinner at Be Our Guest. Decked in a Beauty and the Beast motif, the restaurant offers dishes like French onion soup and pan-seared scallops, and (bonus!) is one of the few outposts in the Magic Kingdom to serve adult drinks.
Romantic Getaway
MORNING
Wake up at the Four Seasons Orlando, with some of the cushiest rooms, beautiful views, and an adults-only pool, all just far enough away from the bustling action. Order room service breakfast of fresh fruit, pancakes, and eggs Benedict, which you should eat on your private patio overlooking the surrounding trees and Magic Kingdom.
DAY
Spend the day at Discovery Cove, the all-inclusive water theme park where you can float in a lazy river, scuba dive, and swim with bottlenose dolphins. Book a private cabana stocked with water, towels, and soft drinks, for some privacy.
EVENING
For dinner, ask for a table outdoors at Capa, the Four Seasons’ rooftop restaurant. The Spanish-influenced steakhouse and tapas bar also has the best gin and tonic in Orlando, an impressive wine list, and some of the best views of Disney’s nightly fireworks.
Family Trip
MORNING
The best under-the-radar character breakfast at Disney World is at the Four Seasons. Dubbed “Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals,” the buffet breakfast features treats made by the hotel’s award-winning pastry chef and always an appearance by Mickey and Minnie.
Head for Magic Kingdom mid-morning, when the opening crowds have dispersed a little, for don’t-miss rides like Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and the Haunted Mansion. For lunch, break for mini corn dogs at baseball-themed Casey’s Corner, and, of course, a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle.
DAY
In the afternoon, hit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a princess makeover, complete with all the bells (Belles?), whistles, and tiaras.
EVENING
For a truly magic dinner, book a reservation for dinner (up to six months in advance) for a table at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Dine in an opulent, cavernous room decked out to look like a castle’s banquet hall, and prepare to be greeted by Cinderella herself.
